Have I mentioned that JR and I don't eat meat or dairy during the week? Well, if not...we don't. We started the first week of April with the intention of trying this through the end of May but I think we will continue through the summer. I am sure you are thinking we are crazy but I can honestly say, with the exception of my face breaking out, I haven't felt this good in along time. That heavy, oh my gosh I ate to much feeling that I usually have after I eat I haven't had since we started this. It did take alittle getting used to and JR stills fights me on our menu about once a week but over all we have both been happy with the difference. (in his defense, he is usually fighting me over what type of salad we are going to have or when he is just over eating another salad) During the week we eat alot of raw food, alot of salads, veggies, avocado sandwiches and fruit. I won't lie by the weekend I am ready for a steak, piece of chicken or cheese, ha!
The hardest thing is going to be following this menu while in Lubbock, I will be hitting up Subway for a veggie sub often!
THANKS AND PLEASE DO NOT STOP

Wow...you go girl!! Not sure if the McCrakens could swing that...I could do the meat thing, but not so sure about the dairy thing...love my cheese! Good luck with that!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has been thinking about going vegetarian. Maybe what you're doing would be a way for her to start if she decides to do it. This time of year is a great time to start. Where do eggs and dairy products fall into a vegetarian program? I could do it easily....at least cutting out the meats.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. What's it doing with your weight? Any changes there?
Have a great week. It's beautiful in Georgia.
